Music & Literacy For Pre-Schoolers

The successful acquisition of reading & writing in early childhood depends on a solid background in oral language skills. What better way to gain knowledge & confidence in oral language than through music? Oral language is an interactive & social process, & music is a natural way for children to experience rich language in a pleasurable way. Besides providing enjoyment, music can play an important role in language & literacy development. Toddlers can begin to experiment with grammatical rules & various rhyming patterns in songs & other written text.

In this course, Opus 3 aims to inculcate the ability to read in the child. Our motto: ‘Listen, Think, then Do’ – encourages the child to think, plan before executing lays the foundation for the child in the later years of his life. In this course, the children will learn Language Skills, Memory & Creativity and Social Skills.

I am very much delighted to have observe how my daughter, Keishla Quek has grown with Teacher Helen. I am very appreciative for her patience, concern and guidance that were showered by her to Keishla. My daughter enjoyed her lessons very much.

Through the (Music & Literacy) programmes, my daughter had shown tremendous improvements in her speech and literacy. The programmes are being presented in a lively form which aids in her learning process. She can now express herself better and her self-confidence has also improved.

We are sure that she is now in a better position to embark in her next phase of learning.

Thank You so much Teacher Helen.
